Refurbishment of the former water board offices to provide a business hub. Liberata delivered architectural services, contract management and quantity surveying for the refurbishment of this building as part of the Whitefield Conservation area improvement works in Nelson on behalf of Pendle Borough Council.
The existing building was in a dilapidated state with extensive dry rot throughout and required an extensive refurbishment including, new floors throughout, re-roofing with natural slate, heritage approved new timber double glazed windows and external doors with the existing stonework sandblasted and repointed with lime mortar.
The project was nominated for awards with RTPI and RICS.
